<Process example>
Since glass is a harder material than silicon, it is difficult to grind it with a wheel that uses a fine diamond grit. This is because fine diamond grit has low grinding strength. However, by selecting the optimum wheel and processing conditions, it is possible to grind with a fine grit wheel and achieve a finer ground surface.

By producing a finer surface roughness during the grinding process, it is possible to shorten the polishing process.
Depending on the glass type, the grinding performance is different. For details regarding glass grinding, refer to DISCO's website helpdesk.
